Lesson 48 : Development Schemes for Women

Training in Income Generation Activities

1. Karnataka State Women’s Development Corporation provides financial assistance to women recommended by the santhwana centres to under go any skill development training of their preference/interest.
2. Arrangements will be made for their stay in a working women’s hostel during the training period and the cost of their stay and food during this period is met by Women's Development Corporation.
3. Training programmes are selected based on the educational qualifications & the area of their interest.
4. The Women’s Development Corporation bears a maximum expenditure of Rs 10,000.
5. These women who undergo training can stay in the working women hostel for a maximum period of one year.
