Technical terms

Services:

1. Substation – A series of transformers that step down voltage before it is delivered to a large number of customers.
2. Step-Down Transformer - Each building has a step-down transformer to further step down the voltage.

Electrical Circuits:

1. Electrical Circuit - A complete path for current to flow.
2. Source - Provides the electric energy to the circuit.
3. Conductor – The path for the electric energy.
4. Load – Utilizes the current to perform a useful purpose.
5. Control Device – A device used to perform a certain task.
6. Wires – Power ( Red or Black), Neutral (White), Bare (Ground)
