This is a genus of 20 species of tropical and subtropical evergreens with decorative feather leaves.
These are shrubs or trees with a simple or rarely branched cylindrical trunk clothed with the woody based of the petioles. The leaves are in terminal crowns, linear oblong and pinnate.
