Reagents

  1. Reagent A: Weigh 2 g of Na2CO3 and dissolve in 100 ml of 0.1 N NaOH.
  2. Reagent B: Weigh 0.5 g of CuSO4 and 1 g of Na-K tartarate and dissolve in 100 ml of distilled water.
  3. Reagent C: Prepare this reagent on the day of use by mixing 50 ml of reagent (A)and 1 ml of reagent (B)
  4. Reagent D: Forin-Ciocalteau reagent - Dilute the commercial reagent 1:1 with distilled water
  5. Stock standard protein solution: Dissolve 25 mg of bovine serum albumin in 25 ml of distilled in a volumetric flask. 1ml of this solution contains 1mg of protein.
  6. Working standard protein solution: Dilute 2.5ml of the above to 25ml in a volumetric flask. 1ml of this solution contains 100μg of protein.
