Raising captive brood-stock
● Raise brood-stock of indigenous carps in rectangular concrete ponds having an area of 50 m2  with soil base (6-8’’).
● Use the standard procedure that is used for Indian major carp brood-stock development to raise indigenous carp brood-stock also.
● Provide  pond with anti-bird netting to avoid predation.
● Feed them with crumbles of a formulated pelleted feed  (about 30% protein) at 2-3% of their body weight once daily.
