It is a old breed. Siamese like cats are seen in illustrated manuscripts of ancient capital of Siam (Thailand), written during 1300.

The breed was first seen in cat show during 1971 (British national cat show).

It is a ‘pointed’ breed referred to the presence of dark pigmentation of the ears, feet, legs and face.

Seal brown to black point, blue points with gray body, lilac points have a pale cream or white body, chocolate point with pale ivory body are the common colour patters notice.

All Siamese kittens are born white, and darken as they mature.

This is caused by a genetic anomaly that affects the pigment to deposit on hair.

The Siamese is very slender, long bodied and light boned.

They posses wedge shaped head that form a triangle with the point located at the nose and tips of the ear.

The ears are almond shaped and always blue.

They are popular for energetic, playful and highly social temperaments.
