THE BOMBAY BREED

  • The Bombay breed was produced in 1958 by crossing a sable Burmese with a black American Short hair; the result is a jet-black cat with gold to copper eyes.
  • The Bombay is considered a graceful, charming cat that gets along well with others, even with strangers.
  • The Bombay is a medium-sized cat, with a rounded head and broad forehead.
  • The ears are rounded and till slightly forward, and there is a deep nose break.
  • The Bombay may carry genetic abnormalities that are common to the breed.
