Some channel catfish hybrids (♀Channel catfish x Blue catfish ♂) had improved resistance to channel catfish virus disease.

• The rainbow trout Oncorhynchus mykiss x char (Salvelinus spp.) triploid hybrids had general resistance to several pathogenic salmonid viruses, but these triploid hybrids grew slower than diploids.
