Ocular lesions

Corneal vascularization occurs in subjects fed on a riboflavin deficient diet.

Angular lesions at the corners of the mouth, or cheilosis due to a vitamin B2 deficiency.

Description with a vitamin B2 deficiency, the lips become dry, scaly and swollen, and lesions develop at the corners of the mouth known as cheilosis. The gums, or gingivae become inflamed and have a tendency to bleed easily.
