Dyeing

A wide variety of designs are created by using techniques of tie and dye and batik on the fabric. When yarns are dyed and used in the weaving of a fabric, it results in designs like stripes, checks, plaids according to the position of yarns on the loom. At fiber stage when dyed, the resultant fabric has variegated effects like mottled, heather, tweed etc.
