Filling Yarn Preparation

Only one single preparation process is carried out for weft yarn. The weft yarn on the quills has is conditioned by wetting or steaming before it can be wound on to the quills for insertion into the shuttle. An unconditioned yarn will not weave properly as it will snarl if allowed to go slack.
