Classification of window treatments

Window treatments can be broadly classified as soft and hard window treatment. Soft window treatments include curtains and draperies and hard window treatments include shutters, Screen, Shade and blinds.

The systems for window treatments that control light and privacy are few, namely shutters, shades, blinds, curtains and draperies. The variations within the systems are many. We know that the window treatments enhance the decorative style of every room and also can create the desired atmosphere. Understanding different window treatments is the first step in window decoration. A combination of treatments, brief overviews of the most popular styles which serve a definite purpose and also enhance aesthetics are as follows.
