Pin Basting

This is an easy and quick method of basting or tacking with the help of pins. The edges of the fabric are held together in place with pins. Pins are placed perpendicular to the seam line with pin heads towards the seam edge and with 2.5 cm - 10 cm apart. They are placed closer for eased or gathered seams, and farther apart for flat seams.
