Perspective Drawings

  • Perspective drawings are those in which a face of the object may or may not be parallel to the picture plane and projections from the object converge to the view point (Figure – 4)
  • These projections are oblique to the picture plane but not parallel to each other as in oblique views.
  • Edge lines along the vertical axis may be parallel to each other
  • Perspective drawings are most realistic of all the drawing conventions are all three dimensions can be seen in one view.
  • They are most complex to create.

Oblique, Axonometric and Perspective drawings are primarily used to illustrate a project design and are generally termed as Pictorial views.
