ETIOLOGY OF AZOTURIA

  • Large stores of glycogen are laid down in muscles during a period of idleness and when exercise is taken the glycogen is rapidly metabolized into lactic acid.

AZATURIA

  • Nutritional deficiency of vitamin E and Selenium have also been suggested as a cause.
  • Occurrence of enzymatic defects in individual horses.
