INPATIENT AREA

• These areas are less visited by clients
• Should be clean, odour free, well insulated to restrict noise to other areas of the hospital and fenced
• Components of INPATIENT AREA
  • Treatment area
  • patient rooms/stalls
  • Isolation area
  • Exercise area (run area)
  • Necropsy area
  • Kitchen
  • Store
  • Bathing/Grooming area
• The aptients must be watched clsoely as they are sick animals
• As some animals resist to pass urine/motion they must be taken out or let in the run area
• These areas require frequent cleaning to keep them clean, hygienic, odour free
• If horses are admitted reular grooming is must
• Area should be well fenced to avoid moving of animal outside
• The staff are legally bound to the inpatient animal
