Cognitive Process theory
Five different views of the cognitive processes underlying creativity are described below. Creativity as a function of a cognitive process is illustrated by Osborn, Wallas, Gordon, Koestler and Guilford.
The term cognitive process means a volitional (ability to choose/ decision making) mental operation that can be learned in much the same way as solving a mathematical equation or speaking another language.
