Staff barrier

It is concerned with the assessment skills of the staff concerned – early interventionists, early childhood educators and professionals working with children and these include:

  • Early childhood educators have training in the teaching ,children and informal assessment skills and less training in conducting formal testing.
  • The related service personal have training in formal assessment but their expertise with young children is limited.
  • The training received has narrow focus.
