  1. Scientific storage of food grains at domestic level:
    This scheme aims to create awareness among rural women of losses of food grains due to bad storage and to educate and train them regarding the need for good strong and the Use of fumigants.

  2. Nutrition through Preschool Centres
    Realizing that nutrition lays the foundation of development of children is the Pre-school age and that lack of it may result is irreparable damage to physical, intellectual and social growths of children the department of social welfare launched another scheme of providing nutritional services to the preschool children in the age of 3-5 years.
    The progarmme aims at supplying food containing approximately ¼ of daily calories requirement and about half of the daily protein requirement in order to supplement. Child’s food at home. Programme also includes preparation of palatable foods with locally available ingredients. Nutrition education, community participation, environmental sanitation, immunization and provided health check up.
    The food is served in Balwadis, Day-care centres and other agencies and institution providing services for the preschool children. The progarmme is implemented through all Indian voluntary organizations like the Indian council for child welfare, Adan Jal Sevak Sangh and the central social welfare board.
