Bal Bhavans

Bal Bhavans aims at providing a number of recreational and cultural activities for normal children, is a composite and comprehensive organization. Organization working is the field of children’s recreation provide services of the nature which usually come under the term Bal Bhavans, Mumbai was the first state to set up a Bal Bhavan. According to them, “A Bal Bhavan is a center, which is as atmosphere of freedom, culture, which is as atmosphere of freedom, culture and understanding helps children’s to find themselves to gum to gum to their full stature. A child could select and engage is creative and recreative activities of his own the choice and aptitude and also they could enjoy the activity.

Aims of Bal Bhavan:
Bal Bhavan is a multipurpose recreational activity centre for children, aims at

  1. Judicious are of leisure lime activities for children.
  2. Preparing children to learn, to share responsibility for democrat living.
  3. Developing child’s personality: achieve as awareness and as understanding of his own self and of his own environment
  4. Provide opportunities to release, and freedom to express himself/herself.

Services provided at Bal Bhavan

  1. Creative art and craft activities as means of self-expression and of developing child’s individuality, especially his aesthetic sense.
  2. Dance, drama and music activities to introduce the child to the world of sounds and their pattern whereby they can enjoy through rhythm in the body and movement in things.
  3. Science activities to generate a spirit of adventure, observation and experiment in science (this includes science club, museum, photography, etc).
  4. Literary activities to inculcate a habit of reading for pleasure, creative writing, debating or recitation, conducting meetings and discussions.
  5. Physical activities through playground equipment, field games, swimming pools, boating etc.
  6. School services, such as school visits, consultation and guidance, extra-curricular activities, library services, etc.
