Lesson 36 : Child Guidance Clinic

Equipment

The following equipments are necessary for running a Child Guidance Clinic:

  1. Intelligence testing apparatus.
  2. Comfortable and durable furniture both for adults and children.
  3. Sufficient indoor and outdoor play equipments.
  4. Sand tray and water pools.
  5. Equipment for physical play, such as climbing, swinging and sliding.
  6. Simple toys, dolls, beds, bricks, paints, plasticine, etc.

Easy-chairs or sofa should be used for interviews. There should be chairs and tables for younger children, the furniture and the equipment should be so chosen, that it can stand rough handling. There should be cabinets to keep case records and blank forms.
