Introduction

In order to maintain certain efficiency is providing services to the citizens and with a view to avoiding exploitation of the employees, the consumers and the beneficiaries, the state enacts and implements regulatory legislation in a rarely of spheres. The need for regulatory laws in respect of child welfare institutions is recognized in order to ensure that the funds raised from the community and the grants given by the government for welfare programmes are utilized properly for maintaining certain standards. Hence, there is a need for regulatory legislation for child welfare institutions. These laws relate to legal bare of institutions – their registration and organizational structure, the nature and the manner of providing services, fund raising, their accountability etc.
