Central Satellite Decisions

Lesson 25 : Decisions Linkages

Central Satellite Decisions

Central decisions are the crucial decisions and the satellite decisions follow the central decisions. These satellites decisions may be in the form of chains or may be radial in which two or more decisions are linked to one decision but not to each other.A central decision represents a critical or crucial decision you have or will make. Surrounding this central decision are several bands. The number of bands indicates the range or depth of the decision. Located on each of the bands are satellite decisions which have occurred from the central decision, but are not necessarily related to each other. These satellite decisions form a chain linking the various bands together. This linking between bands demonstrates the scope of decisions within the Central-Satellite decision is presented in the following figure
