Lesson 13:Twill weave

Direction of wale

Unbalanced twills are either warp faced or weft faced depending upon the amount of yarn type seen on the face of the cloth.
Warp faced twills are 3/2 in 5 shaft or 2 2/1.

Fabrics have better shape and they drape better due to the greater amount of warp. Gaberdine is among one of this with 63o steep angle. Denim is also a fabric of warp face twill. Weft faced twills are the reverse of warp faced. In a 5 shaft they are designed as 2 or 1 1 or 1
