Detection

1. Keep the plate in a closed chamber containing Iodine vapour. Mark the spot developed.
2. Spray the plate with 0.04% solution of 2,7 dichlorofluorosene and view the plates under ultraviolet light. The dye dissolves in lipid and shows a green fluorescence.  

3. Then mark the spot and detect the presence of different components in the sample.
