Scolex
  • Scolex is almond shaped bearing longitudinal shallow grooves called bothrida.
  • Absence of suckers and hooks.
Mature segments
  • Anteriorly segments are broader than long.
  • Testes are numerous and ovary is bilobed.
  • Genital pore is located on the mid-ventral aspect.
  • Separate uterine pore opens immediately behind the genital pore.
  • Follicular vitellaria are placed laterally.
  • Eggs are discharged through the uterine opening.
