  • Color of skin – useful in identifying certain disease conditions
  • Albinism - hereditary absence of melanin
  • Pale - anemia
  • Erythema - allergy
  • Petichiae - Erlichiosis, thrombocytopenia
  • Injected(individual small blood vessels stand out clearly) - sunstroke
  • Yellowish - jaundice
  • Cyanois - asphyxia, pneumonia, cardiac insufficiency
  • Hyperpigmentation - chronic skin disease
