TYPICAL HEMOGRAM OF CHLAMYDIOSIS

  • Leukoctosis: Persist 5 - 14 days, depending on species, even with correct therapy.
  • Leukocytosis of bacterial septicemia usually falls rapidly with correct antibiotic therapy.
  • Low PCV, Stabilizes with therapy (e.g. doxycycline) or continues to fall until death ensues without therapy.
  • Moderate to marked polychromasia
  • Moderate to marked anisocytosis
