STRONGYLOSIS IN SQUIRRELS

  • This round worm is one of the commonly observed nematodes in squirrels in addition to Ascarids. There worms are usually present in large numbers.
  • The eggs are oval shaped, thin shelled with compact yoke mass. The life cycle is direct through third stage infective larvae present in the vegetation
