ELISA technique is widely used for the

1. Determination of the concentrations of serum antibody in viruses. eg. HIV or West Nile Virus.
   
2. Detection of  allergens in the foods like milk, peanut, eggs, almonds, walnuts and other protein foods.
3. Analysis of certain drugs in the field of toxicology.
   
4. Detection of plant pathogens, mother stock and seed/leaf purity in the field of agriculture
5. Determination of the level of antibodies in faecal content.
