6.1.6. Detection
The anticipated DNA fragment generated by the PCR is known as "amplicon". To check the amplicon, agarose gel electrophoresis is performed. The size of the amplicon is determined by comparison with a DNA ladder, which contains DNA fragments of known size. DNA ladder has to be run on the gel alongside the PCR products. |
