Materials

1. 5% trichloro acetic acid (TCA): Dissolve 5 g of trichloro acetic acid in 100 ml of distilled water
2. Anthrone reagent : Dissolve 50 mg of anthrone and 1 g of thio urea in 100 ml of 70% cold sulfuric acid
3. Glucose standard :
   Stock (1mg/ml) : Dissolve 100 mg of glucose in 100 ml of distilled water.
   Working (100 m g/ml) : Pipette out 5 ml of this stock and make up to 50 ml with distilled water in a volumetric flask.
4. 1 N sulfuric acid: Dissolve 2.8 ml of concentrated sulfuric acid in 100 ml of distilled water
