Lesson 03 :Food Sampling

Introduction

Food sampling is a process that is used to monitor the safety of food and make sure that it does not contain any harmful contaminants, or that it contains only permitted food additives at acceptable levels, or that it contains the right levels of key ingredients and its label declarations are correct, or to know the type of nutrients present. In terms of food analysis the sampling is defined as taking a small portion of a whole mass that accurately represents the whole mass.
