Consumer goods are the ones consumed for personal or household use without their further commercial processing.

Convenience goods
Involves the minimum effort by the consumer, small size and unit value and sold in all localities and neighbourhood. Ex: Groceries, stationery articles etc.
Shopping goods:
These are less frequently used than consumer goods. - Women’s apparel, men’s ready-to-wear, shoes, jewellery, furniture etc come under this category.
Specialty goods:
They have some special attraction to consumer Ex: Refrigerator, Automobiles and Fancy goods etc for which the consumer devotes time and attention in purchase.
