Macro Setting

Zoom lenses, see Fig. 2.5(c), often have a macro setting that allows to focus on an object very close to the front element of the lens. A button, or a similar control, enables us to select the macro position for the lens to create a screen-filling close-up of a small object, such as a coin or a small nail.
