Method:
Prepare wheat dough using water.
Knead for 10 minutes
Make 15 gm balls and roll into chapatti using corrugated aluminum roller to thickness of 1.25 and 15 cm diameter.
Toast Khakra on tawa, turn frequently with cloth bundle, press khakra while toasting.
Khakra is baked in five minutes at 160° C.
Uses and Utility:
Khakra can be prepared using millets, it is high in fiber and low in trans fats and has low glycemic index. It is suitable for diabetics It can be eaten with curds and vegetables during travel.
