The final output of rendering is very much dependent on the type of paper used. Generally tracing paper or vellum is used as this is commonly used throughout the design process. As these sheets are transparent it is easy to trace the original drawing. Lead pencils, ink pens, coloured pencils and markers are commonly used on vellum. Markers are not absorbed by the vellum and hence the colours are weak giving the effect of attractive water colours. Coloured pencils can be used later to enrich colour and define edges.
In advertising industry Marker or Visualizing paper is used which is not as transparent as vellum but absorbs markers. Apart from lead pencils, ink pens, coloured pencils some amount of paint can also be used on this. (Fig – 2)
