Lesson 18 : Role of Local Bodies, Organizations and Extension Agencies in Programme Execution

Banks

Banks also play a key role in programme execution by making people aware about different bank facilities like loan, credits and other useful schemes which can be utilized by people for the programme that is being implemented.

The extension agent should also know about financing of the projects by the banks, for the relevant aspects of the programme. Bank officials should be involved in selected extension programmes in which bank services are to be utilized. Hence the bank officials must clearly explain about different bank facilities available for farmers use and also emphasize on timely repayment of loans.
