1.4.5.25. Parallels

Parallels : These are also imaginary lines, which pass from east to west direction and parallel to the equator (The midway between the poles and divide the earth into two equal halves that is southern and northern hemisphere). In the charts (mercator) there lines are drawn as horizontal lines and parallel to each other. The location of any position on the earth is specified by stating its location relative to the equator and the prime meridian.
