TREATMENT AND CONTROL

Treatment

• Niclosamide – 2 g.
• Paromomycin – 5 mg/Kg b wt.
• Quinacrine 7 – 10 mg/Kg b wt. (It should not be given for T. solium infection because it induces vomition).
• Praziquantel – 10 mg/Kg b wt.

Control

• Personal hygiene.
• Proper disposal of night soil.
• Public education.
• Avoid eating of raw or under cooked beef.
