Monocytes

CAUSES OF MONOCYTES
  • Steroidal effect
  • Administration of steroids
  • Severe stress
  • Acute and severe infections/inflammations
  • Other disorders resulting in tissue damage and necrosis
  • Endotoxaemia
  • Reduced production of granulocytes

Causes of monocytopenia:

  • Normal monocytic values are so low that is difficult to recognize monocytopenia.
