HANDLING AND RESTRAINING OF DOGS

• The large canine teeth of dog are more dangerous.
• Some heavy breeds like Alsatian or St. Bernard may cause serious injuries to the extent of disfigure and disable.
• Hence every precaution should be taken before handling dogs.
• If dog attacks, the face should be protected with hand or with an arm.
• Some dogs may be trained for offense response like guard dogs.
• These animals should be handled only by competent personnel.
