6.5.2.2. Oxidation of the ß- hydroxyacyl CoA to a ß keto ester
The 3-hydroxy derivative undergoes further oxidation of the 3-carbon by L(+)3-hydroxyacyl-CoA dehydrogenase to form the corresponding 3-ketoacyl-CoA compound.
