5.1.4. Applications

  1. It is used to determine the number of sequences in a genome .
  2. It is used to find out specific nucleic acid sequence present in animals.
  3. It is used to detect Restriction Fragment Length Polymorphism (RFLP).
  4. It is used to detect Variable Number of Tandem Repeat Polymorphism (VNTR), which is the molecular basis of DNA fingerprinting.
