Reflection

Reflections are everywhere in mirrors, glass, and in water. A geometric action by which, a figure undergoes repetition, across an imaginary straight central line is known as reflection axis, producing a mirror image. The reflection has the same size as the original image. Every point of object is the same distance from the central line. The central line is called the mirror line and it doesn't matter what direction the mirror line goes, the reflected image is always the same size, it just faces the other way. Reflection axis may be horizontal, vertical and diagonal (Fig.9.4 and 9.5).
