Electrophoretic separation

i. Turn on the current to 10-15mA for initial 10-15 min until the sample travel through the stacking gel helping concentration of the samples.

ii. Then continue the run at 30 mA until the bromophenol blue reached the bottom of the gel (about 3 hours).

iii. However, the gel may be run at a high current (60-70mA) for short period (1 hour) with proper cooling.
