Attendance Scholarship for Girls from Rural Areas

Objective:
To encourage girls from rural areas to pursue their education and improve their educational level and also to prevent school drop outs among rural girls.

Eligibility:

1. A girl child who hails from educationally backward districts like Chamarajanagar, Bijapur, Bagalkot, Raichur, Bidar, Koppal, Gulbarga and Bellary
2. with a minimum 80% attendance in previous class and successful completion of examination is eligible for scholarship subject to the conditions that she must be a resident of a village with a population of less than 20,000 and the family income must be as per IRDP norms.

Pattern of assistance: Each girl student will get scholarship for 10 months at the following rates :

5th to 7th Std - Rs. 25/- p.m.
8th to 10th Std. - Rs. 50/- p.m.
