Scheme of Assistance to Voluntary Organizations for Crèches for Children of Working Mothers

Objective:
To provide day care services for children of working mothers between the age group of 0-3 years for a better and safe environment and to ensure a healthy growth and there by lower the mortality rate.

• Services provided are health care, supplementary nutrition, sleeping facilities, immunization, play and recreation for the children.

Eligibility: Registered voluntary organization with suitable building is eligible for financial assistance from the Govt.

• The children of working women in the rural areas who are engaged in agriculture and other occupations are benefited.
• Universities and Stree Shakti SHGs can also avail the assistance under the scheme.

Pattern of Assistance

• 90% of the schematic expenditure will be met by State Govt., and 10% will be borne by the voluntary organizations.
• The grants will be released in two installments.
• The financial assistance available is as follows
 

1. Recurring Cost- Rs. 43080.
2. Supplementary Nutrition Cost- Rs. 37,500.00 @ Rs.5/- per person per day
3. Non recurring costs- Rs. 4,000.00
