Anganwadi Workers and Helpers Death/ Medical Relief Fund

• The Government of Karnataka has launched this scheme during 2002-03 to provide financial assistance to the families of Anganwadi workers and helpers who die while in service and medical expenses to those workers/helpers suffering from serious illnesses like cancer, heart diseases and renal problems.
• Anganwadi workers and helpers who have completed a minimum of one year service are eligible for reimbursement up to Rs 20,000/- in case of anganwadi workers and Rs. 10,000/- in case of anganwadi helpers.
