3.2.3.2.Definition for Exhausting
Exhausting is the method of removal of air and other gases from filled cans and its contents to establish a condition, whereby, the finished canned product will finally show a substantial degree of vacuum.

Exhausting of the can is done after it is filled with prepared materials and additives prior to air tight sealing.
